Some reamers are meant to be ground to size on your surface grinder. They dont miss their mark by that far on a main section then hit every other measurement on the print by luck.

Its not a novelty being that far oversize. Its meant to be ground to fit on your surface grinder

I think it was a total lapse of quality control. The pilot fit perfectly in a .264 barrel. I thought surface grinders ground flat surfaces.

Phil, You can use a spin indexer to reduce the OD.

They ground the body to within a few tenths, the taper to within seconds but missed a parallel section by thousandths?
