Soldering scope mounts.

Has anyone soldered a scope rail on using 400 degree 'aluminum solder paste?'

Does it hold?

You need to use the HiForce solder that Brownells sells. A lot of big bore hunting rifles have soldered bases. I do that on my custom wood stocked rifles. I machine the dovetails after they are mounted.
