SOLD! JK Cloward Custom pre '64 M70 243 win

I was squadded with a gentleman from Alaska at our State Palma Championship in December who shot a couple Jim Cloward rifles over the three days. They were very, very nice and I was pretty sure of who made them even before I asked.

He indicated he was good friends with Jim and was stopping by to visit him on his way home...

Jim's phone number no longer works, and I was under the assumption he had passed. If you have any contact information about Jim or his wife Annette, I'd be very greatful.

Wally Stilson. Great guy.

Did either of you know of Manley Oakley in Seattle? He and some friends were in the Corps in WWII. After the War they formed a shooting club called the "Puget Sound Snipers Congress" for BR matches. Imagine naming your gun club that today?!

It is probably a good thing I can't afford this rifle. I would be sorely tempted to rechamber to 6-284 and hunt Antelope with it.
Manley Oakley worked as an Iron Worker, he was a customer in the sporting goods store where I taught SCUBA diving. He was also an original member of the Puget Sound Benchrest Shooters and very well thought of. A number of customers were members of the PS Benchrest Shooters. One of them, 'Buck' a phone company employee, had a 25-06, that influenced me to build a 25-06 in the mid 1960s. I didn't know Mr. Oakley, but I knew about him and his abilities. Thank you, for the wonderful memories.
