So much for gun sales slowing down with an (R) in the Whitehouse

FBI says May set a new record for the month. 2017 is on track to be #1 or #2 all time.

Sheesh, I guess everyone stocked up on ARs and now they're getting the stuff they put off.... ;)

That or everyone is going to have ... quite a few... AR platforms. :D

I don't know if they are still out there at the price point but at one point last spring you could get Anderson lowers for about $42ea.... I may have some of them....

Gun sales have slowed down. April was unusually slow at my shop. The hardcore guys buy powder and bullets but that's about it except for a few pistol sales. A couple of big distributors are telling me the same thing. We are getting back to normal, plus summer slow down - got to grit your teeth and wade into it. In any case, my salary is f*&^d for the upcoming months.

I think it the present threat of terrorism that is the driving force behind the sales. I also think secondarily is that the public is finding out just how much fun firearms are and it is GROWING!

I was surprised by the news out of the FBI today. Everyone says things slowed down, prices are down to reflect that. Where is it coming from? Inner city... gulp?

Didn't someone say they might need an intervention?:D
I think that I need a couple interventions please. TOOOO many really cheap parts out there right now with the market saturated. When you can buy matching billet sets under $100 there is a glut.

Straw buyer sales are up, at least in my neck of the woods. LE caught a woman in Chester, PA who bought multiple handguns and was selling them to her nephew, a felon. It's a big problem in the major cities but you never read about it. Wouldn't play well with the Bloomberg anti gun orgs and other constitutional traitors.

On another note, my gun shop buds tell me handguns are still selling well but not as good as before the election.

There is no account for the fact that a lot of what is being sold is being sold UNDER whole sale. Companies struggling to stay afloat. In the next 2 years we will see MANY go out of business over this. Remember nothing is all good or all bad.

During the crunch, every guy with a lathe and milling machine was churning out AR parts. Now the demand is slowing and they are stopping. Supply and demand.

Locally (North Alabama), sales have slumped a little, but prices remain pretty much the same.

I need to sit down and go through my parts drawer and figure out what I've got when it comes to parts to finish lowers.

LPKs are cheap, decent buttstocks can begin to add up to cost a few pennies, but the Geissele triggers are killing me.

I have a friend who is a salesman for a national distributor that handles everything. He indicated to me that everyone (including his company) piled in inventory prior to the election because they were sure the wrong side would win, thus sparking another buying spree. Now they are having to unwind inventory. Deals are out there. One suppressor company ran a special with a $200 discount (the price of a NFA stamp) and I feel sure they gambled on a quick passage of a hearing protection act.

Call in background cks are only a portion of the real number.
People w/carry concealed cards in my business are 98%. No way the number crunchers have a way to even estimate these nation wide. LDS
