So many .338 and .375 bullets...

In the .338's and .375's there are a lot of bullets to choose from.

What has worked for you?

Pictures if you can.

Thanks!

Just getting into long range with a 338LM (what a rifle). I have no trouble hitting steel at 1000 yds with SMK 250gr HP's. They hit the steel pretty hard. I'm working on developing loads for 285 ELD's and 300 SMK HP's, so more to follow. Retumbo gives me my best results following up with IMR-8133 which gives me about 100fps more. Now that I have the 1K dialed in, next trip to the range i'll concentrate on groups.

What are you building Terry? I ran cutting edge 377 while I was forming my 375 snipetac and they shot very well. I was running 2980fps by the end of forming. 130gr of Retumbo.

I’m switching over to Badlands Precision 350gr sicbm bullets now that everything is formed. If weather allows, I’ll be starting load work when I get back after vacation. George has some very consistent bullets.

Here is the 350 next to a 6brx with 105s326FBCF9-A52A-4D89-ADA3-C8F011200C03.jpeg

I currently have a 9.5 twist barrel on my .338 imp. I run the Badlands 250 gr SICBM and recently started running the Badlands 260 PCBM bullets in that barrel to see. I ran the 260's in another rifle, and my 338 imp barrel is at the end of it's life so I'm playing and forming brass for the new barrel with it. I had some Hornady 285 amax to use up so the last trip out west I took and shot some side by side on practice day. Hornady, Berger, Sierra are good bullets, but there's just no comparison to the Badlands.

As far as the .375, I've shot Cutting Edge 377 mtac, 400 lazers and the Badlands 375 and 400 gr bullets. I run the Badlands 375 gr currently, they just work

My 338 with be a snipetac. 1-8 twist barrel at 33”. I’m hoping to be up and running it this year. Currently shooting a 1-10 on my 375. The next barrel is a 1-8 for that one as well.
