Thinking about doing another 22 build. I have done about 7 10-22 builds and now looking at maybe a bolt action. Local club is starting a IR 50/50 shoot .
I have a Rem 513T and a Browning T-bolt to play with. Are there any pro's or con's to re-barreling the t-bolt with maybe a Lilja barrel and replacing the trigger with something better or even doing something with the 513T. Or just go find a totally different gun.
Any thoughts with what I already have.

I'm far from an expert, but I think you have much more to work with starting with the Rem 513. You have a solid action already. Id start from there.

What's the purpose or intended use of this new build? IMHO putting a Dan Lilja barrel on either of those mentioned rifle actions is a waste of a premier barrel. The other factor with Lilja barrels is the time involved for them to make you one, unless they already have one made or in stock. Lastly, how much $$$ do you want to spend on this project? I'd suggest you compare the overall cost of upgrading either of your rifles versus buying a new, middle of road Anschutz depending on if you are chasing best accuracy or want to keep the expense down. Also you might want to check with Dan Killough - www.killoughshootingsports.com to see f he has a barrel for you in stock. I'm pretty sure he carries Lilja barrels, as well as other top grade Rimfire barrels.

Was just looking to build a nice shooter but have since changed direction as I bought a Anschutz 1416D HB and also found a CZ 455 Varmint Precision Trainer, so I think I'm set for now. Earlier I did build a 10-22 with Lilja barrel and Kidd single stage trigger. Will hang on to the T-bolt as is as it is a great shooter and also the 513T. guess I just like 22's
