Sniper poker challenge

Markmanship training center in lake city Michigan has a sniper style poker challenge. The shoot is Aug. 25th see there web site for details. Good guys and a fun place to shoot.

Enjoyed the Marksmanship Training Center "sniper" golf match last month and looking forward to the "Poker" match coming up on the 25th.

I expect you Holland Mi. area guys are going to be hard to beat again, see ya on the 25th.

Congrats to Steve C. for some excellent shooting and poker strategy. He won over 100 dollars.

No need for a repeater, I used my single shot rifle, just had to have your ctgs. laid out ready to load. I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to make my shots. I just wished I was a poker player, my shooting was fine but my poker abilities sucked. One target had a straight flush or flush right on it. It was a 7 card game where you were dealt two hole cards and I stupidly was trying to make two pair using my hole cards and the cards on the target, when a better hand was right on the target, sheesh. Most of the time I can hold my own on the shooting but I better stay away from cards!

We all had a good time. The night shooting was really fun.

A great time this weekend. And i second that i suck at cards proved that by my betting all in works great when it is going good but not so good when you make a bad shot. A little different betting and maybe i could of recovered to at least shoot until the end. Steve showed the rest of us how it was done. A great group of guys (and lady my wife) to shoot with this weekend. I must say the night time shooting seminar and shooting after the event was worth the trip. I had never shot in the dark without the use of a light(and it was legal so dont start) very interesting on how to do it correctly. To all those that havent made it to MTC you should consider one of their events; low cost and a good way to improve your shooting skills.
