Smokin

Here in the northeast, we are under a "Code Red" smoke alert. They have been playing "fire and smoke" songs on the local radio station. My favorite, The Platters, "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes." :):):) Number 2, Johnny Cash, "Burning Ring of Fire".

Going to the range today anyway, maybe the smoke will cut down on the mirage. ;););) However, probably will forgo my traditional range cigar today.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Sorry you guys are going through that. Here in the Bay Area, we went through it a few years ago (and less intensely, more recently); visibility in the yards range, air so thick you could scoop it with a spoon. The college I work at cancelled classes due to unhealthy air (but still had us workers come in - go figure.)

Hope you get a decent wind soon to blow all the crap out.

I feel for all in the midwest and east affected by the wildfire smoke, but roll my eyes for all the attention it's getting from the media. Here in the PNW, we're affected by wildfire smoke almost every year, sometimes it's so bad we can't leave the inside of the house. But the lamestream media seems to be unaware (read: don't care) to report it, as the population is much less out here......the precise reason we choose to live here.

Lightning causes 50% of these fires, stupid campers and bums seem to be the cause of the other 50% or so I'm told. We even had one back with G.W. was president caused by a bunch of left-wing wacko's to protest his policies that burned for two+ weeks prior to being contained. The scars are still visible.

Hope it clears out soon for you in the east, everyone likes to breathe!

Yeah Rick. Western states had several weeks of Canada smoke in early spring. Biggest snow fall ever here in Utah and we had smoke move in...crazy

I own a tree farm, this stinks of stupidity and a total failure to mitigate fire exposures, to a natural resource, just exactly like CA's failure to do so.
But yet its satisfactory for the climate change agenda idiots. Like college kids igniting their beer farts and the liberals calling it a methane concern.

I read today that the western US had something like over 250 controlled burns last year to mitigate fire danger, while Canada had a total of 23. Consider which country has the largest forests.....

Yep
We had it bad on the west coast, a few years back.

Best was the cancellation of the WNBA game in New York, when the officials are telling everyone to stay indoors. Pretty sure the game was inside? LOL. A__ clowns in the cities.

It got pretty bad here in Erie Pa, on the lake. My eyes are actually
burning a bit chasing around today. Never seen this in the 70 years
of being on the right side of dirt.....if it gets any worse, I'll hang a
pork butt outside to smoke. Hope it's good hard wood and not
pine ?? LOL
