Smith&Wesson Model 41

Can anyone recommend first hand experience with notable gunsmiths that specialize in Model 41? Things like barrel replacement, performance tweaks, trigger work? Refurbishment?

I have a Model 41 that has seen moderate use, but the barrel face and slide face are "beat up" with metal displacement and disfigurement for lack of better terms.

I would like to restore my 41 to better days, but not sure what the best approach is. Any advice is much appreciated.

Mine came with a long barrel and I wanted to put on the shorter one. Don't recall it was that complicated. I also got a Wolff spring kit that allows tuning for different velocity ammunition. I've not tried those yet. I've only used target ammunition.

When I look at my 70's 41, that has been abused greatly, I wonder how the barrel and side face got in that bad a shape. Just out of curiosity, could you post a couple of pictures?
