Smartphone use with an autotrickler v4

Soooo, I have a v4 on the way & got ta thinking, I know, this is when the wife says I screw up the most!, I have read posts about NOT having a phone near electronic scales, and now, I need my phone near my FX-120i to program the V4, does this sound like an oxymoron? Will the phone bother the scale ? Just putting it out there because I got to thinking!

Have had the V-3 for several years now and the phone has never affected the scale or Auto Trickler. I would expect the same result with the V-4. Lots of them out there and have never heard of anyone having an issue. Enjoy the V-4

The only thing I worry about is fluorescent lights (including cfl’s) around my electronic scale. I find they really screw up its stability.

Smart phone does not adversely affect the V4 scale. I've been using mine for almost a year now.
Switch to LED lights on your loading benches, you'll be fine.

I have used my iPhone 12 the whole time, even when beta testing. No problem at all.

I appreciate all the replys! I had also read where flourescent lights might cause problems, switched to LED's a few years ago, REALLY looking forward to getting the V4 set up & working!

Even lights won't do anything to it. I use a couple fx120i scales in different envornments, none of which are electrically friendly. Just turn it on, let it warm up, and calibrate it. It should be good to go. You don't need to do anything that's not in the instructions. They just work. Enjoy the system - it's really been polished up with the V4 and works like a dream.

It’s a non issue

My V3 is fine with phone near it.

The A&D scale is a mag-force restoration scale and isn't nearly if at all affected by the same things that a strain gauge (like a Chargemaster and others) is like lights and phones. They just work differently.

Mine works great with my phone laying right beside it. I haven't had lights or anything mess with it. My old chargemaster would always get screwed up by the furnace if it was running, wasn't beside the furnace just basically right over it haven't had that problem with v4 setup.

If you think the phone will cause havoc, get it connected, get your powder set, do one test run, then put your phone 20' away.
But in reality there is no havoc caused by the phone or any tablet.
