Spent the day cruising our event center for what we call a gunshot around here. I spent a little over a hunnert bucks for what you see here. A ton of bullets, mostly full boxes. RCBS Jr. press was over priced at FIVE BUCKS :p. Kind of cool Herters primer press. 22 Cal. hollow point mold blocks. I might sell some of this stuff, -- or trade -- over on the biddness forum. jd

I see you were your good boots.
Let me know if you want to double your money on that press!

Man, I wish there were gunshows like that in my environs. Unless looking for new, gun shows in the mid atlantic have been a waste of time for years.

Went to one here in central Texas yesterday. Traded a Llama Comanche III in 357 and $200 for a Smith & Wesson 10-2 that is as pretty as a speckled pup. Spent an hour or so talking with the dealer about our feral hog problem, varmint hunts and long range bench rest. Pretty cool when you run into a dealer that is also a dedicated shooter. I think he convinced me to go with a 284 for my next build. Most enjoyable gunshow experience in a long time.

Finding a great deal at guns shows around Austin is like finding a pearl in an oyster. It happens, but not every day. Most of the prices I found at our local gun show started at list price and went up from there. It's gone now, due to the actions of one stupid individual who brought loaded guns in and discharged one while setting up, but I still miss it.

Yea, the ones here in S E N C are pretty much old junk nobody wants or new over priced stuff most of the time. Very seldom find anything that varies from this norm.

We have WAC up here, it’s like $8 or $10 to get into the show. They are big with lots of cool stuff but the prices are going up you have to join for an extra 30 iirc to buy any firearm

Our little show here is just a bunch of private venders or simply anyone who wants to put in a table.

I seldom buy a gun there, unless it is some kind of wreck that I can have fun resurrecting, or get parts off of.

One common scenario (sadly) is the case of an elderly widow selling her husbands reloading room full of --- well, you know. The primo stuff has already been taken, but there's tons of bullets, powder, primers, and brass for pennies on the dollar.

Boy, is my wife gonna have a crap ton of that stuff when I cross over.:p jd

I missed our Gun Show here in Lake City, Florida this past weekend due to a bad cold. I was supposed to split a table with my longtime buddy. It's not near as big as the one down in South Florida that I used to go to, but usually some good finds can be had. Hope to make one in the future.
