Marlin 322. Sako L-46 action and micro-groove Marlin barrel. Shoots about .5MOA with 52’s and a case full of IMR4895. It has taken more hogs, coyotes, and prairie dogs than I can count. My wife even killed her first whitetail with it. Hunting with that rifle made me fall in love with detachable magazines.
Side note. You guys should avoid Leupold rings. Since they only move on one side, the rings are only centered on the dovetail in one place, which A) leaves you with only one ring spacing and one scope location, and B) is very difficult actually get correct. 99% of scopes mounted in Leupold Sako rings are mounted pointing left or right instead of center, and potentially cause scope damage. It’s best to use only Sako rings, or Redfield style(Leupold standard) rings in a Redfield style base. Even original Sako rings(which I do prefer) must be used more carefully than most people use them. The Redfield style is mostly fool proof, although they neither needed the receiver drilled and tapped, nor the set screws used. Knock them on gently with a wood block and you’re good to go. You DEFINITELY don’t need to use the set screws on a mild little 222.
