Anybody use the 205m AR primers in a ppc?

I bought a significant number of those A/R primers when they came out. I ran out of federal and CCI Match so I gave the A/R's a try. They are similar in performance to a Remington 7 1/2 or the CCI military version (41?) in my experience, though maybe not as hot. They shoot pretty good but not as good in my guns as the regular match primers - though I'd not hesitate to use if needed.

I feel your pain.. I lost mine when we went boating. I decided we should go for a swim and they drowned..

On a side note from boats. I picked up 1K of CCI BR-4's yesterday locally.. I will use them if I ever get another gun..

not just srp, all primers are in short supply

Not LR magnums. I stopped in every store I could on my 6k mile road trip from WI, ND, MT, WY, SD, IA, IL, and back home. I found SP feds at Scheel's in Bismarck. Most all the others stores had LR and LR mag primers. NOBODY had small rifle or small rifle mags. ONE store had small pistol.

BTW-- bullets and powder shelves were also picked over pretty hard. So it's a vicious combination of election year/unrest/COVID driven panic demand PLUS the COVID supply restriction.

Just curious. How long do you guys think this primer shortage is going to last. How many primers do you keep on the shelf to weather these types of shortages?

Have you talked to Simmons in Bessemer? They did stock a good bit of reloading supplies.

Yes. Got some BR4 and 205m AR from them.
