small game shoot

if i were to put together a small game shoot where there would be coyotes, bobcats, rock chucks, rabbits and crows all out of ar 500 steel set at ranges from 150-600 yards would there be any interest from you guys here? this would be held most likely at miller ranch again since it turned out to be such a great spot with multiple features that we can use.

you can go and see some pictures of my last match at www.sportsmanschallenge.weebly.com

i would like to get some more shoots and some match's going so that people from the north idaho/ eastern washington areas could have events where they could get practice for hunting and competitions that they may be involved in also to give youth some trigger time in a controlled environment. i will get this posted out on some of the forums that i frequent and if i get enough interest i will get it going and now that i have all the steel we can hold this sooner than months away.

thanks,
caleb

that would be an idea and also give you a leg up shooting a few guns and figuring out the wind you know. ;)

Can't wait to see what you can concoct. Maybe some looooongggg range varmints/predators thrown in as a tie breaker or bonus.

kind of thinking a course a lot like the one from before and then a longer one where you can switch your gun out if you want or use the same one and stretch them out some. maybe have some targets that are a different point value.

check out the website to see a short description of the shoot ideas.

My 600 YRD BR is the 3rd Sat. of each month. Other dates that I have plans:
July 14, 2012
September 8, 2012

i think i am looking at the weekend of the 23rd and 24th

that gives us 1 month to clear schedules and you to get your guns all lined up

most likely that saturday is gonna be the day

for you guys debating on bringing your son or daughter, do it. there will be medals for the top three youth shooters

may be getting some items from sponsors for this shoot. looks like some game calls, metals for the kids and who knows what else there may be

Only 8 days tell the small game shoot. Bring your son or daughter or grandkids and let them compete in their own class for medals to the top three 16 and under and possibly some other prizes.

going out tomorrow to get all the targets painted and set out at the different ranges. maybe ill get out there and do a bit of shooting before i get them all painted, ha ha ha

i have updated my website so all can go and check out pictures and results from this shoot. www.sportsmanschallenge.weebly.com

Thanks to Caleb (and friends) and Miller Ranch for their hospitality once again. They put on another good match and I'm pretty sure everyone had a good time. We had a nice turnout, especially with a few younger shooters. I witnessed some fine shooting when I was helping to score the long range portion. Nice meeting some new people and reacquainting with some I met at the last shoot. If you haven't tried one of Caleb's matches you are missing out!
