Slow powders vs Fast Powders and heavy VLDs

Shooting 22-250AI 8" twist 26" BBL 43grs of H4831SC produced 3,340 MV 80gr Berger VLDs with some cases showing shinny ejector marks. IMR 4007 39grs same bullet produced 3,365 AVG MV and no pressure signs. Both loads producing 1/2 MOA with low ES. What is happening inside my chamber? Why the difference? Thought were suppose to burn the slow burners with Heavy bullets?

I have used 46.6g of vit n540 with the 185g molly lapua scenars and 49g of n55o with the same bullet for my 308, VL was about the same so was accuracy, would be a safer loading using the slower propellent due to less pressures created with load when using heavier bullets.

Thanks but the slow burning H4831 produced shinny ejector marks on "Some" of the brass????? I think I have room to push a little harder with IMR 4007? I don't think I will, the gain of a few feet per second isn't worth the extra BBL wear

A quick and dirty analysis of these loads, without knowing cartridge OAL) on Quick Load shows both loads to be excessive.,76-78K psi). Maximum velocity is not the ultimate goal, unless you like to replace bbls regularly.

"...unless you like to replace bbls...."

Or your face after a case finally let's go.

Seriously: don't turn a jaded eye at pressure signs on fired cases. Reloading is supposed to be a safe and fun hobby. If metal's moving around, there's a reason for it.
