Skunk Food ???

I shot a 8 to 10# chuck tonight with the 6br, and in a few minutes here comes a skunk out of the edge of the woods, and made a beeline straight to it and got the chuck by the hair on the back of it's head, and proceeded to drag it backwards into the woods, probably tugged it 20 yards, and was working pretty hard at it... it would pull it a bit, then lean forward and get a new bite and then back up again, and kept doing it, made about a foot at a time.
Never in my life seen anything like that, and I hang out in groundhog fields way more than most folks, took a photo of it coming out and then I was going to end it, but just sat there with my mouth open instead.
I know they eat grubs, snails, game bird eggs, but never, ever had one run off with my supper
before, darndest thing I ever saw ............

Neat, would you please tell us the time of day, distance and magnification, what scope, camera and adapter was used to take this great shot.

That was shot at 236 yards with a point and shoot 12 meg Fuji FinepixF50SE through one of my 12x42x56 Nightforce scopes with the NP2DD reticule at about 6PM EST..
I believe the scopes power was on 22 as that seems to be enough for most of my shooting and still allows me to still see the hit....
No adapter, just stuck it in the back of the scope until I got it where I needed it..

Long time no talk buddy!

I have seen skunks chewing on dead cows and dead coyotes.

Of course I sent them to skunk heaven just because!

I was amazed that when you shoot a skunk they don't always stink. Ever seen the teeth on a skunk? They are carnivores for sure!
