Single port action ?

Does anyone use a single port action in competition? Meaning like a right bolt right port/eject. Or does everyone use dual port actions? When I started in short range BR I used a Stolle Panda RBRP with ease as I was used to that set up from all my non-competition guns (factory). My last BAT was a RBRP and I liked it a lot.
Just curious as to why ? I know once you get used to it (from what I've read)...it's faster. I can shoot fairly quick with the RBRP. I will only be shooting long range now...so does it make that much more difference?

I like to use my dual port, but I had to use my right port last weekend for a br match. Its painfully slow.

I use all left bolt and left port. With only one eye left i don't like being on the port side. I wish they would make a two lug like a three lug…. no race ways. If you see enough cases blow and watch people bleed you would agree that Savage does a lot to stop a lot of the damage to the shooter. I do think the the tree lug is the safest of them all.
Speed wise, i don't know but i'm a picker not a runner……. jim

Thank you .. Yes, Tony shoots fast along with others that use single ports. I have shot next to Tony at several matches. I just waited until he was done...it didn't take long at all. I had plenty of time to complete my record with time to spare. So I'll stay with with what I know and like.
