Single feed Bobsled for AR-15

I plan on bringing one of my Rock River AR's out of the vault and
put it back into competition. I have a single feed follower from one
company that sometimes does'nt catch the bolt. I did try it in several
magazines both standard issue and P-mags, and it's still hit and miss.
I ran across the "Bobsled" which is a complete magazine replacement.
I'm looking for any useful reviews on it, or if there is something on the
market I'm not seeing, that bench competitors prefer ??

The bob sled is a great piece of kit used by competitive shooters for nearly 20 years. They work great, handle like a 20 round mag and will reliably lock the bolt back. The only drawback I can think of is that they are pricey.

I had one years ago but eventually migrated back to using a magazine for single loading

I’ve been using them in both a ar15 and a 308 ar for years, they work great.

I have used one for years for slow fire XTC and MRP matches. Very reliable. Nice to have, not a must have. The follower inserts work well too. Even a standard mag works if you start the bullet tip into the extension a bit with your finger.

They're also a good counter weight, similar to a fully loaded 20-round mag. A spring loaded slide acts like a mag follower for bolt hold open, making adjustment and spring tension easy things to tune if they're needed.

Looks like I'll get one on order this coming month. I like the
idea of counter weight. May even add more if feasible. I have
this long long history of not being able to leave things alone !!
Being constrained with 3 lb triggers, weight is your friend.

Looks like around $60 bucks with tax and shipping. Cheap
considering all else in the shooting world.....Thanks Fellas !!
