Side note for purchasers of the Field & Cave Base Plate. After I attached my new Base Plate, I got to looking at the exposed holes and worried that the threads might rust over time and the pockets that were formed would fill with dirt/sand or whatever. I found a fix. I went to Lowe's and bought some 7/126" Nylon Hole Plugs. The number on my receipt read #139451. There are different numbers on the product bag but searching for them didn't net anything. I treated the threads with EEZOX to prevent rust before I installed the plugs.

Thanks for the tip on the hole plugs, they fit perfectly and actually give the plate a more finished appearance. Great idea!
