I got my new Sinclair rest on Friday and assembled it. Holy Crap! How will I get it in and out of the car when my Base Plate shows up on Thursday of this week?

Mine is schedule to arrive today ( : Anyone have a good idea on how to transport it? At benchrest matches I use one of the wagons from Sinclair's and place a hard plastic storage box with hinged lid in it. It currently holds the Sinclair rest, a Wichita rest and 2 rear bags plus miscellaneous. With the new base attached no way will it fit the box anymore.

that's an awful lot of stuff to pack around. Check with companies that sell laser surveying equipment. They have lots of sturdy carrying cases with a handle.

Side note for purchasers of the Field & Cave Base Plate. After I attached my new Base Plate, I got to looking at the exposed holes and worried that the threads might rust over time and the pockets that were formed would fill with dirt/sand or whatever. I found a fix. I went to Lowe's and bought some 7/126" Nylon Hole Plugs. The number on my receipt read #139451. There are different numbers on the product bag but searching for them didn't net anything. I searched Lowe's site and found them with the 139451 number. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-2-Pack-4-7-in-Black-Plastic-Hole-Plug/3013231
I treated the threads with EEZOX to prevent rust before I installed the plugs.
