Sinclair barrels

Who can tell me about sinclair barrels good or bad ?

Well one for sale on gun brokers rem 700 6ppc with.262 neck new never put on marked sinclair inc., could that be the smith that did the work????

Sinclair makes some neat stuff but barrels are not one of them, never did...

thanks I'd try that but it's a pawn shop that has it listed on gun brokers. Thinkin this was the place to get info. Just looking to get a good deal.

I have one in ppc .
It's one freddy put on one of my rifles , along with the caliber,
Ie SINCLAIR
6PPC 262 nk
The writing is not big.

When I first started getting Sinclair catalogs, they offered 6mm barrels from Krieger. Currently, they are offering Krieger and Bartlien - both high quality makers. If it's marked Sinclair, chances are it was a decent quality barrel when installed. No telling what sort of life it's lived since then, tho.........

Back in the olden days I bought a rifle with a 22PPC barrel on it marked Sinclair. It was chambered by Sinclair many many moons ago. I would suspect that is what you are looking at and would consider it needing replacement as I would any used BR barrel.
