SUBJECT Winchester WSSM???

Your thoughts and discussions on necking down WSSM to 6mm, with the 600 B.C. 115 or 117 gr. 6mm bullet, and the shoulder pushed back .150, its borderline overbore with enough horse power to compete at 600 or 1000yds And,,reportedly, it WOULD FIT JUST FINE in an AR-15 magazine with correct follower, etc.) In 6mm cal., since 2004, some of the long range shooters have had very good luck with the 6.5 WSSM, winning some,at least regional I think) titles and are now competeting with them.

I am not sure why you would need to neck down brass, there is already a 243 WSSM. I am working on a project for shooting it out of an AR-15 platform. I am told those rounds feed well as a single stack out of AR-15 223 mags. Unfortunately, the upper and upper parts are very hard to come by to put one of these together.

You are right for I ment to try and set case back,not neckdown, to make it more efficent with less recoil and extend barrel life.

A while ago I spoke to the guy doing that - he's a nice guy, but he sells no parts and he's not familiar with doing build ups for high power shooters either,varmint stuff mainly).

The other option is buy a completed one of those uppers from Olympic Arms,and they won't sell parts either - only completed uppers) and cannibalize it to make what you want.

D Tech does these with Oly parts seems like he's the Oly custom shop.

On the other hand I'm building a slightly modified BRX on the OLY modified AR15 platform.
