Simmons optics

Back in the early 90's I had some simmons scopes
White tail expedition (fantastic glass) mounted on .223
Silver simmons aetec (with clear/ silicon eye cup)
Mounted on 300 RUM
Simmons pro diamond 1.5-5 (i think)
Mounted on 450 marlin

The glass was nice on these scopes..the last simmons I purchased went on a new 300 RUM and the scope fell apart..
Did I get a bad one..or is simmons just a dead company now

I purchased my first (and last) Simmons scope in the late ninety's. I couldn't shoot a 12" group with it. Got it replaced and the same thing. A total POS!

Simmons is Bushnell now has been that way for a while. Do be shocked if when you send it in you get a bushnell replacement

I have used a Simmons Whitetail and an Aetec for 20+ years without any problems. Extremely clear
glass and I am pleased that I purchased them.

I don't know about the new ones but the older atec scopes i have have never given me a problem. Used on 270 and smaller. Never put one on my magnum rifles.

The 2-3 I have are all from the early 90's, they are on hunting rifles and I see no reason to replace. They are clear and always on point.
