Signs of pressure

I just started loading the new Berger 108 BT's in my 6BR. When I was shooting the Berger 105 VLD's with "3 or 4 times fired Lapua brass",neck sized & shoulder bumped with Redding body die) I would not get signs of pressure till 31.9 gr. of RL15 on an 80 degree day.,cratered primers, round ejector mark on headstamp) Today I shot the Berger 108 BT's with 31.0 gr. of RL15 up to 31.4 gr. and I got the cratered primers/round ejector mark at 31.4 gr. It was 60 degrees while I was shooting. I am using the same lot of Lapua brass, RL15, and CCI450 primers. My question is, was the NEW, UNFIRED, UNSIZED, Lapua brass the reason I got signs of pressure? Or, since the Berger 108 BT is 3 gr. heavier than the Berger 105 VLD, that is the reason my pressure went up? All bullets were jumped .010 to the lands.

New brass will certainly changes your chamber pressure, but the heavier bullet will add insult to injury too. Might have to back off of the powder some to blow the brass out. Bill
