sightron ?

a friend has a sigtron 6x24x42 scope, it is blured past 14-16x. the cross hair is sharp but the target is blured. we turned th ao every way but the 200 yard target was bad. any help.

Call Sightron, tell them. They should take care of you, either fix it or replace it. Should be a non-issue. Number for Sightron is 800-867-7512. Hope this helps. Jake

Probably already know this, but the AO on those turn 720 degrees. Make sure it is twisted out for the longer distances.

It is amazing how close of a distance you can set the parallax at for those scopes. The gold numbers and the gold line are for the farther distances and the white numbers and line are for the close distances. I think I was wrong about which direction to screw the AO, but it sounds like you figured it out. You screw the objective out for close up and in for longer distance.

Exit pupil = The effective diameter of the objective lens ÷ Magnification

For the SIII 10-50x-60mm,,,, take 60mm / 50x = 1.2 exit pupil at 50x or 60mm / 10x = 6 exit pupil at 10x.

The formula is the same no matter what brand of scope

Thanks TX65, That's real good information for us newbies. Real facts are hard to come up with when comparing equipment. Mike
