Sightron Slll

I have it and like it, but at such distance I did not use the half superior of it (from 30x to 50x).

Paradoxically the higher magnification I use at lower distance (200, 300 meters).

Maybe better the 8-32x56

I end up doing the same thing. At 600 and 1000 yds I am usually (with mirage ) down around 35 X. At 300 yards where I have to see (old eyes) 6 mm holes in the target I
I need the extra power. I absolutely hate the side focus, I wish it was on the objective bell, like my old T-36 Weavers.

I agree.
The side focus turret is the only critic element. It is to much hard and sensitive (like many others).

Infact the SV version has resolved the problem with a double turret.

At the price point, I prefer the Vortex Golden Eagle. The controls and the reticle are better. If you want to pony up a bit more, then the SVSS ED is a noticeable upgrade to either.

Do you know about @lancexxx here on the forum? Sightron dealer that will get you a better price on a new Sightron than anything advertised and he is a pleasure to work with.
