Sightron SIII 10-50x Question

Does anyone have in their possession one of the recent production Sightron SIII 10-50x scopes?

If you do, how do the elevation and windage knobs feel? I am looking for end user first hand experience.

I had one I purchased a year ago and while a nice scope, the detents on the knobs were very light. Sightron reports that they have changed this and now the detents are much firmer.

Thanks for your feedback

On my 10-50 the clicks are solid and firm. I would say they are good to go!

Jake,

How do you like your sightron. What are the pro and cons in your opionion. Any other feedback would be great.

Thanks,

Sam

I bought a 10-50 just before Christmas this past year. Knobs are fairly tight to turn. My biggest problem with scope is the focus at 50x. It is very sensitive to get focus just right. At 40x it seems much better. Overall, I'm pleased with scope.

Sam,
I like my Sightrons A LOT. So much in fact every scope I own or will own in the future is going to be Sightron. For the dollar to features , you can't really beat them. The Lifetime Warranty. The clarity is amazing. Focus at 50X is a bit touchy but not bad. kj72 is right, 40X is not bad at all, as 50X is a bit touchy. Next scope I buy tho, will probably be one of the 8-32 models in the SIII line. The 10-50 is just a huge scope and for me 8-32 will be about perfect for me. For the money tho, you cant complain. Jake

I pulled the trigger on the Sightron SIII 10 50x60. I did so with the understanding that for long distance shooting and target practice I would mostly be shooting from 40x. When hunting I can take it down to 20X. I wanted to be realistic about what I would be getting. Am I missing anything in my thinking?

Thanks,

Sam
