Sightron SII 6-24x42 dot Japan

For sale. Used Sightron SII 6-24x42 with target dot. Made in Japan. Has some ring marks which should be visible in the pictures. I got it used, and went another direction without ever mounting it.

Does this have an 1/8 min dot, or a 1/4 min dot?

It says “6-24x42D” on the eye piece. Searching that wasn’t very helpful. The dot looks pretty small. If I was forced to guess, I’d guess 1/8. I can check it against a varmint for score target at 50yds sometime, but if someone buys it before I do that, oh well.

Usually the dot diameter matches the scope clicks. 1/8 moa clicks = 1/8 moa dot.

I have that exact scope...the dot is 1/4".

Looks like a single rotation goes from infinity down to 25yds, and then the color turns from bronze to white, and says 12yds, then well past that is just the number 15, with no “yds”, which I would guess to be 15 feet. The A/O will then rotate about 3/4 of another rotation beyond that.

Clicks are 1/8. I’ve had SIII’s with MOA clicks and Mil reticle. I don’t know if the dots and clicks always matched on SII’s, but on SIII’s I’m not sure reticles and clicks had reliable correlation.

This is the only time I have ever heard of that being written anywhere, do you have any source material to backup your claim?
