Sightron s111 to sightron sv

I am currently using a sightron S111 8-32X56 scope and I have seen a sightron SV 10-50X60 non ED glass model for sale.
Would this scope model be worth upgrading to or would I be better spending a bit more on a delta stryker 5-50x56.

This is mostly covered elsewhere on the forum, but... I would stick with the Sightron or, better, upgrade to Kahles or March and never go scope shopping again, unless you need another scope, rather than an upgrade.

I really like my Delta so far, it's about 2 months old and I haven't got to shoot it much but from what I have seen so far I'm impressed. I also have SIIIs and have used the SVSS ED that a friend bought, nice glass but on a hard kicker it didn't survive long, the SIIIS hold up pretty well on big boomers.

How does the glass on the delta compare to your S111 ?

Hard to say, not had them side by side and the Delta is a 5x50 but it seems to be at least on par, the Delta has some really nice features, pull up to turn/push down to lock turrets, good reticle, have yet to really use the illumination

Owned a 10-50 siii. It was nice. Looked through a couple sv none Ed and the glass didn’t look any better.
If you want an upgrade the Ed model or March hm or nf comp are nice pieces of glass. However the sightron is plenty and I’m not sure you’ll increase your performance by switching.

The sightron is not in the same league as the delta. I own both. The delta has ED glass and a 34mm tube the image is awesome to say the least.
I was reading on another forum where a guy said he sold 8 delta stryker 5-50x56 scopes and they all had parallax issues once they went above 30 mag.
He said at 40 to 50 mag it was impossible to get the reticle focused and have no parallax at the same time.
Anyone else any experience of this ?

If you read enough you will not buy anything . I have not had any issues and sounds like user error to me.

You could be right although this guy would be known to be an experienced shooter.
I know of someone with one so I must get a look at it sometime.

I just got back from the Memphis match, the focus on the sved is a game changer. you could eliminate probably 1/2 the mirage with the fine focus. you can't get it gone, but you can REALLY reduce it. and DANG the thing is clear and bright!!!! and I made light gun with 2oz to spare, LOL:oops: if the weight is not a problem for you, its cheaper than ANY of the other options and none of the problems associated with the comp and has a great warranty. great scope, but of course it won't you get into any of the glass snob groups. but heck if you beat em, who cares;)
