Sightron S111 8-32 LR D

I'm looking at getting a Sightron 8-32x56 LR D. If anyone has one, what do you think of them and is the size of the dot ok at lower power settings and at full power, for target shooting and Varmints?

I purchased the 8x32 SIII with a 1/4 min dot and think it is a really good scope for 600 to 1K target shooting. I can easily see the dot at all ranges and conditions. Smaller dots get lost to these old eyes.

The scope is very clear and bright, side focus is a nice feature.

Thanks guys, how would the Sightron S111 8-32 compare to the Leupold VX-3 8.5x25 with the fine duplex out to 600 yds?

I think I prefer the SIII 8-32 with the 1/8" dot to my Nightforce 8-32 with R2 reticle. I know the Sightron has better optics. They track as well as the Nightforce as well. I think the reticle is the only reason I keep what I've got.

the 1/4 " dot should cover about 1/4" at 100 yards. I have the 1/8 " dot and have no problem shooting at 3" orange dots at 600 yards.
my friend has the newer 8.5x25 leupold mk 4, i believe, clarity wise is the same or the slightly better than my sightron. we looked at a eye chart at about 80 yards and whatever he could read, i could read. with the sightrons selling for around 800 and his leupold was around 1200- 1300, it was a pretty easy choice to buy another sightron. cliffe

hey LESLEY, isn't a march scope around 2 grand. buy the sightron. heck, buy 2 sightrons and still have money left. ;) cliffe

the s111 8x32 is the best scope I have ever owned. With a few 10x50's showing up I may sell mine to get one of them.

I just bought a Sightron S3 8x32x56mm with 1/8 dot. I tried to get one with the 1/8 MOA click. They said "That model won't ship until June" so I have the 1/4 MOA click . Will that make any difference for F-Class shooting ?

I haven't received it yet. They called Friday 5/13 saying they only have 1/4 MOA adjustment scopes now. I called back saying I'll wait for the 1/8 MOA adjustment. I'm waiting for their response. Big Bear Basin optics. I know SWFA says on they're web site they have have 1/8 dot 1/8 MOA adjustment. Sure hope i'm not going to get the "Run around"

Ammozone.com has them all in stock and the best prices I've found.
Love these scopes!! Hope they stick to their prices, being everyone and there momma is buying them. Lol.
