Sightron dealers in Canada?

Hi everyone,

Just bought myself a new rifle and I am leaning towards topping it off with a Sightron. Went to the company website, and could not find price info or an internet-based contact method for suppliers in Canada. Just a lot of phone #s. :
Does anyone here know someone that knows someone that can help me out? I live in the eastern part of the country.

Canuck, How do the prices compare in Canada to the U.S.? Like on the Nightforce and sightron scopes? Thanks

They are definitely more than they should be up here. The export restrictions the U.S government is putting on your businesses is simply rediculous.I would bet the U.S is losing billions per year in exports( barrels,actions,triggers, bullets etc).
Other countries are simply starting to pick up the slack.Soon there will be no need to buy any precision rifle components from the U.S . Sorry but your government is systematically killing your own economy.
I ordered another Barnard action and 3 True-Flight barrels a month ago as it is so much easier to get.I also bought a Schmidt and Bender 12-50x56 PMII for only $400 more than a Nightforce. The U.S is giving all the precision rifle and accessory sales to NZ, Germany and Canada.

I should add; it isn't that you can't get the U.S stuff here but because of the export permits it usually means going through one or two more middle men which adds to the cost. So now peoplel like me are looking to alternative sources.

Hi Canuck,

Just read your response. Did you get your action/barrels direct from Tru-Flite? How much of a hassle is it to get them?
I agree with you that the USA is only undermining its own market. It's frustrating though. Knowing that the parts/expertise are so close and not be able to get anything that might be useful ...
Anyway, if you don't want to post in public, just PM me with your answers/recommendations. It might be interesting to start shopping in NZ !!!

I'm not here to enter in a political forum, god knows there are enough of them. I'm here to ensure that I make an informed decision as to where I spend my hard-earned canadian dollar. If it means using connections abroad, so be it. These days, where ebay and amazon web sites rule, boundaries are fluid, except when we are dealing with an americam-made product. Too bad. There are many sources to be tapped into. Glad to see that NZ is one of them. I'll keep posted for opportunities and deals, why not, eh?? Now, back to our Olympics, OK?
