sightron 8-32 x56 ring height

does anyone have an idea what ring height is required for a sightron 8-32 X 56 on a rem 700 short action?

Also, opinions on burris zee rings versus kelby rings for 1000 yd benchrest.

With weaver bases I used Burris Sig Zee,HIGH) On a Savage 223 heavy barrel it put the bell of the scope about 1/8' above barrel.,PERFECT)

I used Leupold, Weaver style bases, with Leupold high rings. I have a Hart heavy barrel and this gives me 1/8 inch clearance. I replaced a leupold with the sightron and am very pleased.

Sure enough, there is a thread in progress down the page, dont know why i didn't see it.

Anyways- what do you think about the kelbly rings and davidson bases, are the worth the money or should i just get some zee rings.

LET YOUR WALLET BE YOUR GUIDE!!!!!!!!! YOU ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THE MORE YOU PAY THE BETTER IT GETS.

I started the thread below and I wound up having to use Warne maxima high steel rings to get it safely above my Savage Model 12 with the Mcgowen Savage bull contour. Warne highs are .525 inch compared to Burris highs at .300 inch. This also allows room for caps to be applied, or some forward tilt if ever needed.
