Sightron 8-32 scope ?

I took my new Sightron to the range to sight in and could not get it to focus a sharp target. Has anyone had this problem or could give me some advice on focusing it ? I tried at 100 and 300 yards and tried lower and higher power levels and did not help.

I just had mine out yesterday. Same problem at 100. It was very hot and mirage caused that issue. Didn't go beyond as I only was swapping out scopes and wanted zero on them. Even my 10-50 SIII had the same issue. It's not my scope, it was the conditions for me.

I had a nice 12x scope, that I bought new. It happened to be a Sightron, but a Big Sky model. I was unhappy with the image, at first. It was comparing unfavorably with a much older scope that it should have bested. I decided to fiddle with the ocular adjustment, and it popped a very crisp image after a slight adjustment. I went from being upset to being able to see 7mm bullet holes at 200 yards. I have also gotten some bad scopes that needed to go back, but I suggest trying some small tweaks to the eyepiece focus before sending it in. Some people say that only affects the crosshair focus, but that isn’t my experience. I love my 4 Sightrons, but they are all from the Big Sky series.

My advice;
Ensure your reticle is properly foused prior to adjusting your parallax.
I have the same scope

I took my rifle outside and looked at the sky and adjusted the ocular and it seems to look a little sharper now.
What is the preferred way to adjust the ocular and the focus knob ?

I got the ocular adjusted properly and then at the range I got the side focus adjusted and wow I can see so much clearer now. This is a great scope now that I did my part and got it adjusted right for my eyes.

You just did it, give yourself as much eye relief as possible.
I can see 30 caliber bullet holes at 600 yards
