Sightmark Wrath

These are listed for $411 on Euro Optic. I am thinking about putting one on my 44 Mag rifle as a night hog gun.
Has anyone tried one of these. Keep in mind I am not expecting $3000 thermal quality but it it as good as my Bushnell Equinox Z2?
Looking for a budget night Gun.

I had one. It worked well. But you gotta upgrade the IR light it comes with. A light that is dimmable is a must. If youre anywhere other than an open field the ir can bounce off of tall weeds, brush, etc and wash the image out like having a flashlight pointed at you. If you are looking over fields you really need more range from the included illuminator. Also a focusable beam is preferred. I used an NS750. Dimmable, focusable head plus on/off tail cap and it ran off of 18650s. You also could buy other led's for it if you wanted to use it for other stuff. Sightmark says 200yds but with an upgraded ir you will be identifying animals well past that. Heres a link to the illuminator I bought. I was able to shoot a 10" gong at 300yds no problem with it after dark.

I had one, I upgraded the IR light with a coyote reaper light. The one it comes with is okay, if you stay under 75-100 yards I’d say.

Took a lot of videos with it as well. It is feature rich and has a lot of cool options.

After you get past like 6X zoom it does get pretty grainy. Also, I took mine out on some really cold nights up here in upstate NY and the batteries drained pretty quick. Also was having problems with it turning on in really cold weather. Might have been a fluke on that though.

I think I’m it’s price range it’s about as good as you’ll get. I got mine for $399 on Black Friday when they were originally $499.

I have a Sightmark Wraith Mini 4X. With the IR light that came with it, I’m easily good to 150 yards (distance to my feeder). I have upgraded the light, but haven’t really tested it yet. I also got the monocular for scanning the field. I’m happy with it, but someday will probably upgrade to thermal.

Before thermal, I used the 2-16 wraith. I used the stock light and supplemented with a Streamlight IR. Seeing coyote out to 300 yards. ANY snow, rain or fog is a problem, the slight lag time in the display requires stationary target and firearm. The recording feature works well. Overall I liked the Wraith. I used a couple times shooting prairie dog, recording hits was easy and fun.

I got it in and mounted it on a new Steven 344 308 Win. We will see how she does at the range. Shooting a 150 gr CT NBT With a very moderate load of Varget.

Follow the torque recommendations for the base nuts. I purchased my used, I believe the nuts had been over tightened, one would not hold torque. It would loosen slightly over a couple weeks of cold weather hunts. Point of impact would shift up and left slightly. I found a new quick release base, no shifts after replacing the factory base.

So I zeroed this puppy in today. It shot sub MOA with 165 Hornady Interlocks over 44.6 gr of Varget. The $300 Stevens rifle shot really well. The trigger is bad -really bad. The safety is ok but not like other rifles. The one shot zero thing on the scope. Well it is more like a six shot zero but it works good.
Should be a cool set up. We will see.

Lol mine took like 12 shots to sight in. I kept doing it wrong and moving it in the opposite direction.
