Sight ID and reputation of this Kimber

Any info about sights or rifle would be appreciated.

Im not an owner of a 82 but those sure look like the stock sights that came on them from the CMP that my friends have on the CMP acquired 82's. They were sold with different inserts for the front site IIRC. May not be with rifle. Those are training rifles of US marked and that looks like a jewel. Really great rifles. That is a fair price for sure. No more stock at CMP and has not been for some time now.

Those are the original Kimber 82G sights. Made in Australia for Kimber. They are a high quality sight and add about $200 value to the rifle. The price on the tag is a fair price. I also noticed that the rifle has a aftermarket trigger. If it is the XTSP trigger that is a $350 item and makes the price a steal.

I have a Kimber with the XTSP trigger. Later today I’ll compare the photo with my trigger and post my findings. To the best of my knowledge the XTSP is the only aftermarket trigger available for the 82G.

That is definitely a XTSP trigger in that Kimber 82G. Here are photos of my Kimber with the same trigger.

Just for your information, the trigger can be configured for two stage or single stage. I have mine configured for single stage at about 6 oz.
