Sierra TMK’s is anybody….

sierra are PRODUCTION bullets. built for the masses
my opinion is that bergers are better
true custom bullets are even better
having said that i just had a 308 win reamer made for the 175 tmk at 2.82 oal
mag length hoping they shot well as a target round, but not a competition gun.
and i shoot 220 smk in a 300 win mag mk248 mod1 clone chamber . again a target but not comp. i shoot berger 230 in a mk248mod me clone in steel matches

I have no complaints about my DTACs, and they're made by Sierra.
I have won my share of matches with 107 match kings and back in the day there weren’t many custom bullets available so the mk was very popular and shot well but we have so many custom bullets out there now and with all the money we spend to be competitive I don’t think skimping on bullets would be the way to go. When Walt was alive Berger was very competitive, I think if I get to compete this year I’ll finish off my old lots of Berger’s then move in to vapor trails, hammers or something similar

if you do not have them ordered now it is unlikely you will get them this year
i practiced with some 107s the new small tip, but shot barts for my national win

BUT he asked about TIPPED MK'S

Please define a 'production bullet'.

It's not some lathe turned solid or something hand made. Overall, it may be a distinction without a difference. It's made by Sierra, in large quantities, for a 3rd party.
THE bullet is made under contract to a standard than TRUE CUSTOM bullets....say a a br bullet vs a prs bullet pretty plain and simple

it has a distinction that is understood..it is NOT a br bullet

What is the standard, or are you just guessing?

The DTAC predates PRS by a few years.
well ask g david tubb's( that is the dt in the name)
he does not shoot br
he does not build br bullets
he is a large target shooter, high power and king of two miles.
not a guess
