Yes. I switch over to the new 175 grain 30 cal Sierra Tipped Matchkings for my new FT/R rifle. Its a .308 Winchester. This is my second season shooting FT/R. Last season I shot the regular 175 grain Sierra Matchkings and did great for my first time ever shooting F class. I have only shot 1 match with them so far. At my first match this year shooting the new tipped SMK's I only had 50 rounds down the barrel at the start of the match. I shot a total of 40 shots in that match, so I ended up with 90 rounds down the barrel by the end of the match. My first relay I shot a 294 out of 300. I noticed my last 5 shots started hitting a little high. I think my new barrel was gaining velocity every shot. My 2nd relay I did GREAT. I shot a 298 out of 300. That was the best relay I have ever shot in F class. Im VERY confident these new tipped SMK's helped me out at this 600 yard F class match! They do cut through the wind better than the regular SMK's for sure. They also shoot flatter too. About 4 or 5 inches flatter at 610 yards. Im gonna stick with them this whole season. They are a lot longer than the regular SMK's. They wont fit in a AI magazine.
