Sierra Bullets Load Data 6.5-06

Flouncer

What the heck it works for me !!
I am looking for the link to select Sierra cartridge load data. I have stumbled upon it twice, once each for .223 Remington and 8x57 Mauser and downloaded the .pdf. I am unable to locate the source ??? Specifically 6.5-06. - thanks

Hodgon has the date you are looking for. Don't know if it is Sierra Bullet data . I would call Sierra tech people. They will help you. Tommy Mc

It's been around as a wildcat for a long time, A-Square legitimized it. If they're still around, they might have the data you're looking for.

I have my old load data and that of the source I used, from the the 1995 Sierra Anniversary Edition. I wanted to see a historical comparison to see if the Sierra has reduced the max loads or not in this cartridge. Hence the request. I currently do not have my old 3rd Edition, the ring binder one, only the notes I used back in 97' when I started to shoot. A more general question then is: are the newer editions of reloading data from published sources lighter than say 2 decades ago ? I specifically say published as in written books or manuals as Web sources can be edited and loses their provenance. - thanks

A-Square is long gone . . . . . .

R#22 has been money in the bank with 120,123,129, and 130g bullets for us, bug holes with speed are plentiful. Found two pounds of R#22 I want to try.

Yes Ackley, That is what I want to try. My go to was H4831. Can you recommend a starting and your max load for RL22 with 140/142 SMK ? All I have to do now is find some RL22. Berger and Hornady both show top loads of RL22 at 51.5g. I topped out on H4831 at 50.5 back a few years ago. Any thoughts on the powder changes lessening over time ? - thanks

The OP can use the free Sierra app to figure it all out by himself. Much easier and faster that way.

.
Thanks Agg. That is an Android "App" and I use programs installed under Win10 on a PC. I tried to download it but that doesn't work. Just swithced to iPhone - Heh Heh Heh. I dont want it on any phone . .. . . .. Yes, I Understand I can purchase the entire 400 page manual for one cartridge, no sarcasm intended. I used to own it . . .. It actually got used to death. Final nails in the coffin were a fall from the book case and a very hungry teething chewing Standard Poodle puppy. RIP Sierra.

For the 142 gr stock # 1742 bullet, the 140 gr stock # 1740 bullet, and the 140 gr stock # 1730 bullet, they list the same powders: N540, IMR4451 End., A 4350, H4350, RE16, RE17, Hybrid 100V, and RE19.
