Sierra 25cal 131gr HPBT

Looks like Sierra is coming out with this bullet soon. BlueCollar shows it on its site, however out of stock. The Sierra website also shows this bullet but is lacking particulars as for availability, BC etc.
Looks like they may have finally obtained the rights to market them from Blackjack. Good to have more 25 caliber heavy bullet options.

I got 500 in Tuesday. Haven't shot any yet. Heard it's the same bullet as the Ace. .330-.340 g7 bc. 1.440 in long. Going to have a 25 prc barrel spun up for hunting. If I like what they do as far as accuracy, we'll probably make the switch from 22 bra to 25x47 Lapua for prs.

I believe the CN in the bullet name stands for closed nose. The 6.5 130 HPBT-CN I have are pointed.

I have always been a 25 caliber fan it. I'm glad there are more heavies on the market hopefully by the time I finish the barrel on my 6.5SS there is factory support for the 25PRC and that'll be my next barrel to shoot all these heavies.

did the black jack have a closed nose? These show CN in the description. probably need a faster twist.

They are indeed pointed, not sure if the new Sierras are, but will soon find out..

Reason I asked is I recall the 131 Blackjack bullet having a pointed tip much like the 135 Berger but the picture I saw of the new 131 Sierra didn't have that same pointed tip, it looked more like the 133 Berger.

Maybe the picture I saw of the new 131 Sierra isn't accurate to how they actually look.

I ordered mine from Sierra today and of course, after, I hit finalize purchase I get this message that pops up saying because of the amount of orders they currently are trying to get out my shipment may take up to two weeks before it ever gets shipped out. My 25 SAUM build just barely got the reamer in so it's not like I'll be needing them anytime soon.

That's pretty funny since Hornady uses that nomenclature for their mono-metallic bullets!

And don't forget that there is .25 GT brass available now.
