Sierra 107MK sorting results

What details do you need sir? It is a 105gr bt of his own design and all the final details will come out after testing/ tweaking. But like all of barts bullets they will be made one at a time, by the same hand and by hand. Only a couple out there made this way- no boxes of bullets mixed up made by 8 machines. Like the 100/200 br game- barts bullets changed the scene and these will be no different. As soon as the new jackets are up to his standards testing will continue and be finalized.

Toured the Sierra factory late last year and all one lot come off one machine and one operator. Suggest you call them and tell them what you found. They have been working hard to eliminate that variance.

My question was actually directed toward Bart, but yes, there are a few questions regarding the bullet design that I am interested in finding out. FB versus BT bullet? Ogive and meplat diameter? Shank, length and degree of boat tail. Optimal twist rate?

I am interested to see if I should be considering these bullets versus the ones that I am shooting now.

Simple question back to original post-with the variation in length from base/ogive, do you hold jump to lands and let the difference in length float in the case, possibly affecting powder space/ES/SD, if you were mixing lots within short variation from each other? Or accommodate variance in changing seating depth.

I've just purchased 500 6.5 Nosler CC's and comparing them to a boxed, more current lot, variation between lots in pretty consistent at .030. Realize .030 means virtually starting the process over with the recently purchased lot. Have seen this with Nosler quite a bit, but they do shoot well once sorted.

The bullets are still in the testing phase. It is a bt bullet and once the final design is tested the measurements will come out then because all of that can change. I will keep everyone posted as to the progress once the jackets are acceptable to barts bullets standards.

What i mean is the bullets may turn out anywhere from 105 to 107gr once the testing is done and that will affect all the measurements. Bart does not frequent this forum much as his time is limited

I recently sorted a few boxes of M.K.'s, then went into sorting a few boxes of Scenar L bullets. Those boys in Finland know how to keep them seperate!

Any estimated time of arrival?
