Showing promise!

Thanks in part to this great website, I chose to build my new toy in 6mmBR cal. I finished it in March & have been too busy until today to do much more than fire-form brass. I got out this morning to test a few different loads & got a great surprise! It shoots as well as many here have suggested!

Thanks for all the info & loads here, this is going to be a lot of fun to play with! Next trip is planned for a nearby 300 meter range to really wring it out!

I love to see someone using the always trustworthy Bushnell banner 6-18X50. I have them on many of my rifles and also have a Swarovski in the same power that I don't like as well. The Bushnell is very inexpensive but you would never know it.

I agree FroggyOne2, I like to see targets like that too!


Blacknwhite, I got hooked on Bushnell Banner scopes over 30 years ago. You can pay a LOT more for a scope, but few are any better!

That's factory wood tjj! They do pick nice wood! Not as hard to do with a 2-piece stock. My other #1 in 45 Sharps has an even nicer butt stock. I sanded the poor factory checkering off both, I'd rather look at nice wood than machine cut checkering.

I got a chance to go play again this afternoon & it's still shooting great! The wind was playing merry hob with us today, very gusty & unpredictable, but a 10 shot 100 yard group still looked respectable:
