I had bought a Sav-2 trigger for a project.
I have been working on this project on and off for some time. I never could get it adjusted quite right and made 3 attempts watching their videos as I was doing the adjustments. To no avail. To boot this was the 4th trigger I had bought and the only one I have ever had trouble with.
The Issue was it was unsafe I would get a AD's and could not figure it out as to why. The last one I found strange behavior. and could duplicate it with no issue. The issue was lateral movement of any kind to the Right with the gun in the firing position would trip the trigger. Lateral movement to the left had no effect.
I spent another eve trying to adjust this thing, different spring settings etc no help.
So I gave up.
My Son being smarter than me said to write them an email.
So I did and explained everything I did and saw.
Early next morning got a reply asking me to call.
All I can say is it was top notch service. They were polite and listened. They told me I did everything right and I had done everything they were going to suggest. I was blown away.
In the end it appears I had a defective unit and a new one is in rout and is supposed to be here tomorrow. Per the discussion it is a issue with the intermediate lever and possibly the housing as well.

I cant be happier and I am glad I listened to my son LOL and all I can say is the Rifle Basix customer service was wonderful.

You dang right they will address a defective trigger issue right away, as they should. Imagine the liability.

I guess I got lucky on mine having worked on the accutrigger replaced that piece of crap, put a timmy in that only went down to 20oz replaced that with the rifle basic sav-2 set @8oz I only trust it on a bench but never had a accidental discharge

I had a similar experience with an LV-1 trigger on a Remington 700. I just couldn't get the trigger to reset consistently after fiddling with it for the better part of a day. I called and talked to Clay for about 30 minutes, giving him a step-by-step of what I had done with installation and adjustment. I received the same courteous treatment and, at the end, he concluded that the unit must have been defective. They sent me an upgrade (the ERV model) and asked me to return the defective trigger upon receipt.

That sort of support is remarkable these days. I've installed many RB triggers on my rifles and others over the years. This was the only problem I've encountered - they handled the situation immediately and in above-and-beyond fashion. I'll be using RB triggers again, guaranteed.

I actually talked to Jeff at Rifle Basic today and , as usual, they were top shelf ! I have installed dozens and dozens of the the #2's and #1's for Savage's and a few rimfire's ! Their service has always been fantastic ! Family run and customer driven !

I'm glad you're happy with their support, but it seems to me they should do a better job with Quality Control so their customers aren't in such predicaments in the first place. :-O
