I've often thought that the true measure of a business is how that business responds when something goes awry. If that's true, then James Tobin and the folks at Arm or Ally (formerly Monmouth Brass) set an example for others to emulate.
I ordered two 500 ct. bags of .357 Sig brass about ten days ago and received the package a few days later. I didn't open the box right away as I was working on a few other things on the reloading bench. I opened the box this past Sunday evening and discovered that one of the 500 ct. bags contained .357 magnum brass - an understandable mistake. I contacted Arm or Ally through their website and received a prompt reply with instructions on how to return the brass sent in error and a printable return label. Their reply assured me that the correct brass would be sent promptly.
Just a bit ago, a received a follow-up note from James Tobin. They are shipping an extra 500 ct. bag of .357 Sig brass for the trouble. I certainly did not expect that and I would have been perfectly happy swapping the .357 magnum brass for the Sig brass.
That, in addition to being prompt, attentive and communicating thoroughly. Imagine how much better life would be if every business took that approach. Many do, but not nearly enough.
I know where I'm going the next time I need brass and/or bullets (they'll be stocking Berger soon, BTW). Thanks very much, Arm or Ally!
