shotgun slugs

I currently reload centre fire rifle shells but myself and three of my friends have new Savage 20 gage slug guns and we are finding that the Federal/Barnes slugs are expensive and hard to find this time of year. What new equipment do I need to load 20 gage sabot slugs and is this a good idea?

Lee makes a mould for 20 gauge and you load them in a winchester double a(AA) with the standard white wad. It seems to work as a friend of mine tried it.

I just picked up a Lee Load-All second hand from a local, an inexpensive starter shotshell loader that works perfectly.
Loading shotshell is a simple matter but you do need a shotshell loader.
The basic difference is there is no working up a load.
You must stay with listed loads that include the specific Hull, Wad, Powder and shot weight, Buck count or Slug,, No Messin Around!
The thin barrel shotgun and pressures are way different with just minor changes.

It's all not a big deal because load data is plentifull.

Just like loading anything else it's about start up costs,, then the fun begins.
