Shotgun ban (already passed the house) not speculation

Colorado house already passed and the Governor said he would sign a bill that would ban any shotgun that (could) be converted to hold more than 8 rounds. Pretty much any pump or semi auto (can) be converted with an extension tube. Keep in mind this is not banning only the converted ones, but any of them that can be converted.

This has gone to far.Colorado residents gotta put up a fight by flooding the gov's office with phone calls for weeks tying up the switch boards and making yourselves be heard.

Jon, problem in Colorado is all the mucky-mucks, touchy-feelies, have taken that state over quite awhile ago. Not many states left they don't control the voting block.

Rejects from the 'left' coast 'occupying' Denver & Boulder.

Sometime ago, I read that the Governor was being urged to appoint PETA officials to the CO Dept. of Conservation. Stinks of liberals!

There's still hope for us, the bill next goes to the Senate which it must still pass before going to Hickenritter's desk...we must write, write and write and call, call and call!!!!! Only 3 Dems need to stray....

Ok...I going to risk being "warned" again but......I can't understand why "we the people" don't understand what "shall not be infringed" means. If "we the people don't get our heads out of our a**es and tell our elected officials exactly how "we the people" feel then "our" rights will no longer exist. Hello.....is there anyone out there?
Are the lights on but no one is home? We will end up as those in 3rd world counties. No rights, no liberty, and no say so in anything. We wont even be able to protect ourselves or loved ones. Our children will live under terrany and the 200 years our fathers and forfathers fought for our freedom will mean nothing. I know my dad is rolling over in his grave. This is complete BS. Come on people........

That's right................enough is enough..............

All this is related to one word, DEMOCRATS. Everyone is bashing REPUBLICANS. They are our only hope. Democrats are working hard for mid-terms right now and if they get total control, GOODBYE.

I feel that a growing facit of society do not believe in the Consitution and its Bill of Rights if they feel that a majority of citizens believe to the contrary what is wriiten and declared as "inalienable rights". As such, theur belief is that the Costitution is outdated and the "majority rules" and overrules the Constitution. That belief may hold merit for them UNTIL their specific rights are usurped by another specific majority of citizens of which they are not one. They then will be the first to "scream" Unconstutional. Anti 2nd amendment zealots want freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and equality for all, but would trample and interpret the 2nd amendment as they see fitting into their agenda or belief.
The constitution does not give us the option to pick and choose what amendments are valid based on a majority vote or opinion, or poll, without the use of a formal amendent to that Constitution through the ratification of all 50 states and a 75% majority to amend that Constitution.

That's true, everyone seems to have their own favorite amendment, and don't care about the others as long as their favorite is left alone. Try screwing with the 1st and watch the media uproar.

Organize a Rally before they sign that shit...Let me tell you from NY your in for a fight but you must beat this or there goes the nation.

That is because they have been taught that we are a Democracy and that the majority rules. That is what they have been taught in our schools for years. My father inoculated me by making me read the constitution and federalist papers at an early age.

Good Luck in Colorado.I'll add another state to my "Do NOT travel list".NY,IL,NJ,MA,CT,and now CO.

You forgot Maryland. The Senate there just passed it's own AWB, high cap mag ban, required registration with MSP of those weapons already in existence at a $25 fee, fingerprinting for new handgun purchases, and a required 4 hour class.

Md. has a Democratic controlled House and Governor, so consider it a done deal. From what I hear, Beretta has said that if it becomes law, their moving out of Md. Beretta is just one of the companies that our Governor, Rick Perry, is courting to move to Texas.

I never did understand why Beretta located in the Peoples Republic of Maryland, but I hope they move out. One of the happiest days of my life was when I saw Maryland disappearing in my rear view mirror for the last time, as I towed my trailer across the state line to Pennsylvania with the last load of my wordly goods heading to my new place in PA. That was 10 years ago.

Maryland lost it's way about 1975 and shows no signs of finding its way back.....

Theres a saying on the Eastern Shore of Maryland "There is no life west of the Chesapeake Bay". I live on the western shore and it was a beautiful place (geographically) to grow up. Crabbing, fishing, hunting, off shore fishing within two hours, etc, etc. But you are right ,our government is overbearing, and over regulating us to death! If it weren't for my work connections and friends Id move the #&*^ out of here! The next place I move to, I dont want to be able to see the smoke from my neighbors chimney :D
