SHOT Show 2026

SHOT Show 2026 is next week. I will be in the Marchscopes.com booth #10222. I hope to see some of you there.

March is introducing the 8-80X56 SFP and the 6-60X56 FFP Tracking Scopes. You can read about them here:

I will have a lot more to say about them shortly.

See you in Las Vegas.

These are not riflescopes. They are tracking scopes and the 8-80X56 SFP model is built on the Majesta 8-80X56 HM riflescope. That scope has been out for a couple of years and has a price tag of over $4000.

It's a tracking scope a new thing? I've never heard the term before.
It's new from March. As they explain it, a Tracking Scope is a crossover optics between a riflescope and a spotting scope. DEON took the Majesta riflescope, removed the turrets, froze the erector tube and designed a gimbal in the middle of the main tube with an Arca-swiss compatible mount and made it into a awesome optical device. You can get it with a reticle if you want. I have been playing with a prototype for several months now. At SHOT they will have two models, the 8-80X56 SFP and the 6-60X56 in first focal plane.

I will point out that the Majesta has a 25° AAOV and that got carried forward in the TS model. This is much larger than most current riflescopes, but it's not as wide as many spotting scopes. For instance, my beloved Kowa 883 with the phenomenal ultra wide eyepiece has a much wider AAOV but it's stuck at 35X. And it doesn't have a reticle.

The 6-60X56 FFP TS has a larger AAOV at 25.8°, and has its own set of reticles. It doesn't make sense to get this model without a reticle.

Compared to a spotting scope, these tracking scopes are much smaller and easier to pack and carry and provide a huge zoom range, 10X, as opposed to the 3X of spotting scopes.

I'd rather read about when and where I can send my 8x80 back to have a dipole set of crosshairs fitted.

@Turbulent Turtle any chance you could stop by the Kahles booth and tell us about the new long range scope, I believe it is 60 or 65 power...... asking for a friend :)
I've seen it at Bayou at a recent match. It's an 8-64X56, I believe. The person shooting it had no information to share about the specs.

At SHOT, the various manufacturers all come to visit the March booth. Not the other way around. And by various, I mean ALL of them.

And is your friend shy?
