Shot Marker Targets

Just a general question to those who have the Shot Marker , there is supposed to be an extensive range of e-targets within the software , that matches the common paper targets that we are all subject to ... so my question is does it have targets like the "100yard crosshair sighting target or the benchrest 6 target included - Thanks in advance Tim

I don't recall seeing either of those. I use mine quite a bit and use the 1-inch grid overlay it has to measure POI when I am shooting a long distance (1200 to 1500 yards). When I am load testing at closer ranges, I just dial in horizontal and vertical to keep the groups separated and hold center to aim. The software allows you to measure group size and save the string to your hub for future reference. Its a little different t use but it is very handy and has met all of my needs with a little creativity.

It has generic sight in targets like that, but not those specifically.

Here's a PDF of the primary one included with the ShotMarker.

I do load dev on any SM background, using physical targets printed from accurate shooter. You really only need the statistics from the SM.

Edit: A picture for an example.

Edit2: Guys I don't think he's talking about using a SM at 100 yards. Just referencing the 100 yard target, which can be shot at any distance. :)

I have one .
I only use it at 600 and beyond $800 is real Money.
200 and 300 Testing , is Spotting Scope work to me .

The Targets are NRA Match and BR !

It seems using an e target system at 100 yards is a bit of overkill. With a decent scope seeing bullet hits at that distance shouldn’t be a problem.
Agreed , just looking at things from the perspective of load dev at 2 and 300 , and what the system can do , I get the value at longer range , I was just wondering if there would be a benefit in using it for close range load workup , and before dropping a chunk of change on it , and how versatile it could be, recording ladder test etc

E targets record a fairly accurate velocity Average and SD at the target in addition to an electronic record of your shots, group size etc. . It will do what you want it to do at 100-200 for screening loads and powder charges but it really shines at 300-600 for ladders where the elevation changes and POI shifts are more clearly defined and not lost in bullet hole sized overlapping data.
