Shortening Carbon Stock

Is there a way to shorten a carbon stock and install a new pad or am I stuck making a special order and waiting for months?

Cut it off and glue on a new pad. If it’s filled will foam clean out a small area like 1/4” bevel around the shell for the epoxy.

Manners puts metal backers behind th their studs and flush cups…just be aware in case it’s a Manners you’re cutting and if you get around those.
