Short Chambered Barrel / What are my options?

I just acquired a Douglas Premium Air Gauged Barrel short chambered in 300 Ultra Mag. It already has a vais brake installed. What else can be done with this barrel? I don't know that I want to build a 300 Ultra.
What would you guys do with it?

What are you using the rifle for et: hunting,target,long range target etc.

All I have right now is the barrel. If I go thru with a build it would be used for targets out to 1000 yds and possible elk/mule deer in the future.

What are the specs I the barrel. Don't know if you have enough shank to cut it and tech amber to a 300 win mag. Maybe a 300wsm or 30-378. I don't have a book infront of me to see the case measurements of a 300rum. I think your kinda limited. Maybe sell it and get a barrel more suitable for you

the 30-378 has a larger dia case at the shoulder, the ultra mag is .525 and the 30-378 .569, thus this would clean up the chamber.
