Short action customs

I was wondering if anyone is dropping a size in the bushings in the short action customs or are you running the same size as Redding

???? So, I wondering why you are reducing your bushing size. Is not a .266 Redding Bushing the same size as a .266 SAC Bushing. What is your finished neck size with each bushing?

To clarify, one well done YouTube tester found that he needed to drop the SAC bushing size .001 to have the same neck ID as with sizing with a "regular" bushing. He determined this by using pin gauges. The interior shape of the SAC bushings have been demonstrated to produce straighter brass by several credible testers. The down size is that they are a bit pricey.

They do produce straighter brass, mine went from .001-.003 to .001. and that is the variance of my brass. I went 2 sizes smaller, but I had started annealing at the same time as changing the bushing so I was burning out the carbon on the inside of the neck also.

I have noticed that I get different results using the same-sized bushing in steel versus the titanium coated ones. But - I'm wondering why one would go to a small er size of ANY bushing just because it is a custom short action? Going to smaller bushing is to tune the load - not the action........

Short action customs is a brand of bushing. Also seen as SAC.

Completely stopped using redding bushings. Found RCBS, wilson, and SAC to be better and more consistent. Dropping a size with SAC does seem to work better.
